Test your endurance while touring San Joaquin’s intense terrain at this year’s fourth annual Eagal Lakes DSB Mountain Bike and Sprint Triathlon on July 25th. Dirt, sweat and determination prevail as triathletes of all levels come to compete as individuals or in a group. In an all-out adventure, participants will test their strength by combating several elements from water to dirt.

Triathalon 2013-53   The triathlon comprises of swimming, biking and running – beginning with a brisk 400 meter swim through the property’s clean and private lake, set at 78 degrees, so there’s no need for wetsuits. Participants will exit the water on a sandy beach where they will transition to an 11 mile bike ride, which includes bike support, challenging terrains such as loose gravel, hills and uneven ground. The last and final stretch will take place along the San Joaquin River, where athletes will run for 3.1 miles over trails, hills and through riparian habitat.

This year’s triathlon will host over 200 participants, says Karen Eagal. The course is as challenging as ever, with several prizes, food, music and a beer garden to congratulate participants at the event’s after party.

Besides conquering the feet that is a triathlon, each participant will also walk away with a swag bag, official race number, and raffle ticket. In addition, “We’ve added custom event medals and tech event shirts,” says Karen. A percentage of the proceeds will go directly toward Injured Veteran’s Fund – Semper Fi Fund.
