“The Good Life” at the Haggin Museum

The Haggin Museum presents watercolors of the 1930s through the 1950s. The exhibition includes selected pieces by Mark and Janet Hilbert, whose work depicts ordinary life settings in California from 1930 to 1950. “The Good Life” represents a period in California history that chose to embrace the blessings in life despite the misery of the Depression. The small town depictions and various other settings in the Hilberts’ work are wonderfully captured in the watercolors, and will fill your soul with simplistic beauty. 1201 N. Way Out West Opening at Knowlton Gallery

Taking in the beauty of an art exhibit can be a great way to fill your day with educational fun. Crosstown 5 at Abundance Vineyards

Spamalot

The Stockton Civic Theatre is bringing Spamalot to life. Spamalot, directed by James Reed, is a comedy adventure that was a Tony Award Winner in 2005 for Best Musical. It tells the story of King Arthur and his knights that also features cows, killer rabbits and a few French people to really round it out. The comedy adventure is adapted from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and has been mesmerizing audiences ever since its Broadway premiere. DSB Super Spring Mountain Bike Triathlon

Port City Roller Girls Derby Bout

On July 26th, the Stockton Indoor Sports Complex will feature the Port City Roller Girls Derby Bout from 6-8 p.m. Tickets for the event are only $10 for general admission or you can get 2 for $15. Stockton’s only Roller Derby league has entered into their 9th season, and the women are eager to show off their impressive skills earned from hours of practice and training. Beginning at 8 a.m., hundreds of spectators and cyclists will gather at Michael David Winery for the Lodi Cyclefest. The amateur races will begin at 8 a.m., and the day will finish with the professional racers at 1:15 p.m. The online registration for the event closes July 11th at midnight. There will be prizes for the winning cyclists, which include cash and wine, as well as the chance to win a custom-etched Lodi Cyclefest magnum bottle of 7 Deadly Zins. 1139 E. Stockton Explorer’s Competition

Do you have what it takes to become a police officer? The Stockton Police Department and the Stockton Police Junior Cadets are putting on an explorer competition. The event is open to young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20. The entry fee includes an event t-shirt, a ticket for dinner on Friday night, as well as a ticket for lunch and dinner Saturday. You will be given the opportunity to compete in police-related events and showcase your knowledge in the field.
