Top Tamales

If you find yourself itching after the Tamale Festival has come to end, head to one of these local spots for a fix. 

 

  1. Nana Olie’s Panaderia

These Oaxacan tamales are available in chicken with green sauce, pork with red sauce, and cheese with jalapeno. The tamales cost $1.99 each and $19.99 for a dozen.

 

  1. Taquería Ripon

These Zacatecan tamales come in pork with red or green sauce. They’re $3.50 each.

 

  1. Panaderia La Yolanda

These Veracruzan tamales are available in pork with red sauce, chicken with green sauce, and cheese with jalapeno (plain). They cost $1.25 each.

You can choose from pork, chicken, beef, or cheese with jalapeno tamales. Pork and beef should be eaten with red sauce, chicken with green sauce, and cheese with jalapeno plain. The price is $1.75 each, $15.69 for a dozen of pork, chicken, or cheese with jalapeno, and $16.69 a dozen for beef.

These Jaliscan tamales come in chicken, pork, (savory) corn, and cheese with jalapeno. The chicken and the pork should be eaten with red sauce. Chicken and pork are $1.25 each, corn and cheese $1.35 each. A dozen tamales are $12.99.
