Zinful Chocolate Sauce

No one is going to argue that chocolate and wine is a match made in heaven, but the winemakers at Michael David Winery have taken this classic pairing a step further.

Working with chocolatiers at Anette’s Chocolates in the Napa Valley, the winery offers a signature chocolate sauce made with their popular zinfandel.

At Annette’s Chocolates, a chocolate sauce is infused with the zinfandel provided by Michael David Winery. The final product packs a 4.8% alcohol by volume punch, but is sold as a food product and can be enjoyed by foodies even before their 21st birthday.

Anette’s Chocolates’ Mary Stornetta says there’s no shame in eating it by the spoonful, but the chocolate sauce can also be drizzled over ice cream, cheesecake, or even tart strawberries. One of her favorite ways to enjoy it is stirred into a fresh cup of joe.

Available exclusively through Michael David Winery, the Seven Deadly Zins Chocolate Sauce can be found at the winery’s tasting room seven days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM.
