Coffee Toffee Crunch Snowflake

Have you ever caught falling snow on the tip of your tongue? Felt the icy sensation swirled with a unique texture you thought was reserved only for snowflakes? Well, that one-of-a-kind feeling has been recreated at Bon Mange, a Stockton dessert shop that serves an array of delectable goodies including bubble teas and macarons. We spoke to the owners who are extremely passionate about creating perfect baked goods for their customers to take home. They only want the best, whether it’s the ingredients they use in the desserts, the NitrousWhip chargers they use to whip the cream that’s put on for decoration, or the fresh drinks they make along with their patisseries. And you can see this passion whenever you visit the store.

One of their most popular menu items, is the Coffee Toffee Crunch Snowflake, a treat reminiscent of Taiwanese snow ice, made with a base of coffee-flavored ice cream-shaved ice hybrid that enjoys a consistency akin to fresh fallen snow. Topped with almonds, toffee bits and Oreo crumbles and served with a side of marshmallows and original-flavored mochi (a Japanese rice cake), the delicacy is a creamy, dairy-based concoction that gives guests a very different impression.

Though the indulgence hails from Taiwan, the owners of Bon Mange (a French phrase meaning good eats) first tasted it in Hawaii. Despite its influence, however, staff assures this recipe is all their own.
