Yoga is an excellent way to get in shape and improve the blood flow in your body. Performing weekly stretches can improve flexibility, as well as have a positive effect on your mentality. Unfortunately, many of us can’t always find the time during the week to break away from our lives and head to a yoga studio or purchase a package of classes that can be expensive. Fortunately, the city of Stockton has seen fit to solve this dilemma by providing free Yoga in the Park every Saturday morning from 9 – 10:15 a.m. From April 5th through October 25th in Victory Park, come out and enjoy the great outdoors while you try out your yoga moves and improve your balance. Regional yoga teachers will volunteer their time to teach you various yoga positions and will tailor the classes to celebrate the cultural diversity within the Central Valley.
Since the classes are free, the instructors simply ask that you bring a towel, yoga mat, water and your smiling face while participating in the classes. What better way to begin your Saturday morning then with breathing and stretching exercises that will invigorate you for the rest of the weekend? Yoga in the Park will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the park’s surroundings and give you the chance to feel more at one with nature. Take advantage of the classes while they last!
