“The Good Life” at the Haggin Museum

The Haggin Museum presents watercolors of the 1930s through the 1950s. The exhibition includes selected pieces by Mark and Janet Hilbert, whose work depicts ordinary life settings in California from 1930 to 1950. “The Good Life” represents a period in California history that chose to embrace the blessings in life despite the misery of the Depression. The small town depictions and various other settings in the Hilberts’ work are wonderfully captured in the watercolors, and will fill your soul with simplistic beauty. 1201 N. Lodi Cyclefest 5K

Beginning at 8 a.m., hundreds of spectators and cyclists will gather at Michael David Winery for the Lodi Cyclefest. Do you have what it takes to become a police officer? The Stockton Police Department and the Stockton Police Junior Cadets are putting on an explorer competition. The event is open to young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20.
